WORK EXPERIENCE

o Equal Justice Works Fellow and Staff Attorney for seven years at Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center, where she founded its Nou Kab program for Haitian immigrants survivors of violence. o Provided trainings sponsored by Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Council Against Sexual Assault, YWCA, State Attorney’s Office, Legal Momentum, and many other agencies on topics such as TPS for Haitians; immigration relief options for abuse victims; know your rights; and building coalitions to assist abuse victims. o Represented children in juvenile and family court proceedings at University of Miami’s Children & Youth Law Clinic, served as a law clerk for a private attorney, and interned for the Honorable Joan Lenard in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

o Current chair of the Miami-Dade County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Council, a network of government agencies and community organizations serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault; o Founder of the Haitian Domestic Violence Initiative, a collaborative of community agencies working to improve services for Haitian survivors of violence; o Creator and former host of “Enfomasyon Pou Fanmi Ayisyen”, a radio show on Radio Compas 1270AM; o Board member of Project Medishare, Sow a Seed, Children of Haiti, and League of Women Voters o Member of Greater Miami Chapter of The Links, Inc. and Haitian Lawyers Association.
